Hi.

Wedding Registry Must Haves

Wedding Registry Must Haves

Other than our own, we have quite a few weddings to attend this year. There are the traditional southern weddings, palm springs weekend long parties and even a fairytale castle wedding in the French countryside! The interesting thing is that the couples registries are just as diverse as their up coming nuptials. I think it's really cool the way couples are starting to be more outspoken about the best way to celebrate them either helping with honeymoon activities or towards bigger purchases like a new couch. I thought I would share my two cents on what I think are really fun things to not miss adding to a registry and lend to making a house a home.

Fine China- I know this is something a lot of modern brides skip but for me it's an absolute must. I think having something to mark special occasions for years to come is really special. A lot of things in your house will come and go but a beautiful set of china is something you will have forever.

A Nice Ice Bucket- Gone are the days my friends of an ice cooler and couple of beers...well maybe not completely gone but it's a great opportunity to class up your entertaining game. A beautiful chilled bottle of Rose greeting guest really sets the tone.

Chic White Platters- Speaking of entertaining, freshly grilled veggies and hand cut french bread served on a crisp white platter is a no-brainer. I love anything that makes hosting family and friends feel special but still casual.

Festive Napkins- I think what happens for most brides is when they get into registering you really get in your head about being practical and versatile. I think it's nice to leave room for a little something unexpected that makes you smile when you pull them out. Maybe it's a Christmas theme, a pop of bold color or like me, something that reminds you of childhood summers.

Upgraded Flatware- if you've lived in your own house before getting married most likely most of your everyday kitchen necessities are from Target. We have been through countless sets of flatware and I'm excited to finally have some quality in our lives!

THE MIXER- I don't think anything screams wedding registry like the classic stand alone mixer. All I know is that everything taste better after being whipped inside this baby and I can't wait to embrace the stepford-wife vibes that come with it.

If you're curious to what else we registered for, you can check our wedding website- theknot.com/us/taylorstephensandkelseyfarese. It will have links to all of these items and more!

Happy Registering!
