Something Blue: Wedding Wednesday

Something Blue: Wedding Wednesday

Welcome to Wedding Wednesday!

I am so excited to start sharing a little bit more about my wedding planning process, bridal  beauty and amazing advice that I have gotten along the way.

It's no surprise that with spring around the corner and the activation of "the bride gene" that I have been obsessed with wearing white. The one problem that I have is finding the right shoe to wear that doesn't tip the delicate balance and make the look feel chuncky. Cue the beautiful "Samantha" sandal from Kate Whitcomb.

I've been a big fan of the "invisible" nude sandal for a while now but have had a hard time finding a pair that don't make me want to throw them out the car window after an event. As much as I love dressing up I can't stand to be miserably uncomfortable. I find the placement of the heel on the Samantha is a little more forward under my heel which leaves me having to put a lot less pressure on the balls of my feet.

My FAVORITE element is that you can personalize your own pair. The lovely team at Kate Whitcomb had my pair made with the right heel reading "Mrs. S" for Stephens and the left "10.14.17" which is our wedding day. I also love the "something blue" element added with the baby blue background, again, completely customizable!

I also wanted to share with you this lovely bouquet portrait that is part of a collection that my mother does for brides. It's such a lovely part of the planning process choosing your flowers but in a matter of hours they are gone. I love the way she has helped brides find a way to capture this element of the day that they can enjoy for years to come.

Ultimately I've realized that the most special parts of a wedding come down to the details. Focusing on beautiful things that make you feel good and a touch of customization is what makes the biggest impact. Even though there is only one "Big Day" I'm looking forward to all the little milestones and celebrations along the way.
